Greetings to all EPOC,
This is a friendly reminder that the posted deadline for submission of Eastern Pacific Ocean Conference (EPOC) abstracts is coming up quickly. Below is a summary of this year's meeting, with the appropriate web links for registration and abstracts.
Hope you are all having a great summer! I look forward to seeing many of you on Mt. Hood this fall.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The 57th annual Eastern Pacific Ocean Conference (EPOC) will take place this year at the Timberline Lodge, Mt.Hood, Oregon 22-25 September 2010.
This year's meeting co-chairs are the interdisciplinary team of Drs. Lorenzo Cianelli and James Lerczak, both affiliated with the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University.
EPOC is a 3-day gathering of ~150 ocean scientists, with a regional focus on the west coast of North America. The structure of EPOC meetings encourages shared meals and recreation in scenic surroundings, which naturally leads to extended conversations with colleagues. As such it is both: 1) fun and 2) highly productive. Both younger and more senior scientists are encouraged to attend – indeed, it is a great way for those two groups to get better acquainted. Meetings typically include an informal/provocative “fireside chat” by a senior scientist, and awards for best student presentations.
Please see: http://bioweb.coas.oregonstate.edu/~EPOC2010/ for further information.
Abstract/registration deadline will be on AUGUST 1st, 2010.
